Start with what interests you.See how the world covers it.

Every major platform decides what you see, by rules you can't inspect, for goals that aren't yours. Here you build the algorithm yourself, topic by topic. In this way, curation stops being something done to you.

More journalism exists, from more places, than any generation could reach - yet most readers still get the world secondhand. Information access is the foundation of self-determination. To self-determine, information cannot come at a cost. The core of nobal.news is free, because informed judgment shouldn't depend on what you can afford.

Elsewhere, discovery means more of what you already clicked. Here it means opening an event on the globe and seeing how it's covered from the countries living with it - independent outlets beside mainstream ones.

What a story says means little without knowing who's telling it. Where it is documented, media here carries its publisher's origin, ownership, funding and author background. We don't label or demonize bias - with the context, the judgment is yours.

Most platforms build your reading into an interest graph and sell it. That's treated as the cost of the internet. It isn't. Your feed is built from the choices you save, not from what you click, and nobal does not sell reading data or use it for advertising.
